Books of Interest
Some recommendations for good books if you could only have 1 or 2
          books to learn a subject...
        Electronics:
The Art of Electronics 2nd Ed., Horowitz and Hill, ISBN 0-521-37095-7
Definitely a classic, sadly getting somewhat dated.
        Noise in Electronics:
Low-Noise Electronic System Design., Motchenbacher and Connelly, ISBN
            0-471-57742-1
          Another classic, very practical.
         More Noise in Electronics:
Electronic Noise and Low Noise Design., Fish, ISBN 0-07-021004-7
Not widely read but a very good book.
        Electromagnetics
Electro-Magnetics, Kraus, pre ISBN, LC 52-7440
An old book designed to teach the subject...
        More Electromagnetics
Introductory Electromagnetics, Popovic and Popovic, ISBN 0-201-32678-7
Thankfully a book that doesn't start with Maxwell's Equations on page
          1.
        Magnets:
Permanent Magnet Materials and their Application, Campbell, ISBN 0-521-56688-6
Good info about different types of magnets (think pickups)
        Vacuum Tubes
Electron-Tube Circuits, 2nd ed, Seely, pre ISBN, LC 57-11868
A very good book. Easy to read.
